Marianne's first love is comedic acting. After earning a degree in broadcast journalism and theatre she skewered the news as head writer, performer and producer of Washington, DC's top satirists, Gross National Product (GNP). With GNP she also co-created several PBS comedy specials and the famously funny "Scandal Tours," an irreverent romp past DC's infamous scandal sites. When Hollywood beckoned she honed her improv and sketch comedy chops with LA's famous Groundlings.

Marianne loves to make good impressions which she did regularly on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" with hilarious portrayals of Martha Stewart, Hillary Clinton & Sarah Palin. Her "Martha" stole the show in the pot-umentary "Totally Baked" & was featured in the Wayans Brothers' film, "Snowflake." Her "Hillary" had a cackling good time on "The Frank Caliendo Show." (see audio/video page for demos)

Some TV credits also include HBO's "Big Love" and Fox's "Malcolm in the Middle," and "Law & Order: Los Angeles." Marianne's hosted many talk, style, and game shows such as "Landscaper's Challenge" (HGTV), "Live! with Regis" (ABC), "Before and AfterNoon Movie" (USA), and "When Did That Happen?" (GSN) as well as pilots for Fox, Lifetime, VH-1 and PBS. She recently co-hosted GSN Radio with her husband, Bob Goen. (She credits driving separately to work for its success.)

Marianne also writes and performs for live theatre and spoken word venues. Her three woman tour-de-farce, "The Hungry and Horny Show," played to sell out crowds at LA's Lyric Theatre. Her humor essays (see Blog page) have been featured as "Must Reads" in More Magazine online.

When not on stage, the tube or radio Marianne can be found in the kitchen hosting dinner parties, out in the yard impersonating a gardner or on the computer Googling herself. Marianne is madly in love with her hunka-hunka hubby, Bob, is crazy about her Super Duper Stepson, Max, and the Labs of her life, Stogie and Dunk.
